Omega Watches - Legend created by Louis Brandt

The lengendary Swiss watch giant Omega was established by Louis Brandt. It is interesting to noted that the name Omega originated from the Greek alphabet, which is considered as a symbol of both perfection and achievement.

The brand has lived up to its name since the timepieces that it produce are a combination of the two distinguish features. The Omega watches are not only manufactured with pride and precision, but also with superior appearance. There are various shapes, sizes, colors and styles of watches available both for men and women in the market.

In 1848, Louis Brandt opened a sales office to manufacture timepieces when he was 23 years old. The brothers Louis and César Brandt worked together to produce many timepieces including Gurzelen, Helvetia, Celtic and Patria in that time, which received profound prevalence since their launch into the market.

Then the brand quickly developed into the largest manufacture of wristwatches in Switzerland since the introduction of Labrador movement. Omega has always adhered to producing the best timepieces for the world and its production reached over 100, 000 watches at that time.

The year 1894 could be seen as a milestone to the brand since that all the timepieces manufactured by it were under the name of Omega. The banker of the brand brought forward the name since the successful launching of the pocket watches.

One prominent timepiece that produced in 1957 was the Omega Speedmaster, which was appointed by the NASA as their official timepiece. All over the years Omega has kept on creating various designs of timepieces, and they are considered by many people as a combination of the finest materials and the greatest accuracy.
